About Joel Haber:
Joel Haber researches, lectures, and writes extensively on Jewish food history, focusing on the intersection of food, history, and culture. He believes that cuisine serves as a mirror reflecting cultural identity. Joel is also a culinary tour guide in Israel, where he showcases the unique flavors of the Jewish state. His e-cookbook, Chulent & Hamin: The Ultimate Jewish Comfort Food, has garnered wide acclaim.

Joel’s insights into Jewish cuisine have been featured in numerous publications, including The Nosher, The Jerusalem Post, Tablet, and more. As a licensed tour guide, he has led over 4,000 individuals through culinary tours in Jerusalem’s renowned Machane Yehuda market, and his expertise has been highlighted in various media outlets like Haaretz, Saveur, and The Forward.
