About Chazan Jonny Turgel
Jonny is chazan at Stanmore Synagogue, a position he has held since 2011.
He has trained and studied under several accomplished chazzanim and the world’s leading vocal coaches both in the UK and abroad in order to shape a unique style which appeals to the masses of our generation.
Jonny is a lead soloist with the Shabbaton Choir, having sung at the annual Choral Midnight Selichot service together with Rabbi Lionel Rosenfeld since the age of 18. Together with the choir, his expressive and melodious singing has featured in many concerts both in England and abroad.
