Marc has dedicated his life to improving animal welfare, notably leading a grassroots movement that successfully changed UK law regarding puppy farming and the sale of puppies and kittens—an effort that led to the creation of Lucy’s Law. Alongside his veterinary work at The Mewes Vets in Rottingdean, Marc is the co-founder of the All-Party Parliamentary Dog Advisory Welfare Group (APDAWG), an ambassador for numerous rescue charities, and a frequent speaker at schools, where he teaches children the importance of animal care.

In this talk, Marc will share his personal stories, powerful experiences, and unique perspective on the challenges and triumphs of advocating for animals. He’ll also shed light on the making of his new film, Dogspiracy, which explores the dark side of the global dog trade, and how his lifelong passion for animal welfare is helping to drive change on a global scale.

About Marc Abraham: Marc was awarded the OBE for Services to Animal Welfare in 2021 by Queen Elizabeth II, and received his medal in 2022 from King Charles III. He’s been an outspoken advocate for animal rights, from rescuing dogs in need to influencing legislation that improves animal protection.
