• Be creative and innovate with others
• Improve your comedic skills
• Confidently respond to change
• Communicate in new and inspiring ways
• Deal with uncertainty
• Reduce fear of ‘getting it wrong’
• Build confidence in your own unique voice
These workshops are designed to be accessible to anyone, regardless of their level of confidence and experience of performance. As a medium, improv has many additional benefits in improving self-confidence, connection, and empathy, as well as reducing social anxiety.
Through fun games and interactive activities, you will get to experience our workshop and the joys of improv comedy.
About our Teacher
Helen Bet has worked in informal and formal education for over 25 years. She has also performed comedy in various guises for the past 20 years. During this time, as well as helping hundreds of Millennials and Gen Zs on their paths, she has developed a deep appreciation of how the underlying assumptions and values that organisations hold can act as a barrier to effective learning and professional development. This has led her to develop strategies in schools to support, engage and enthuse minority cohorts, particularly those from ethnic and linguistic minorities, the LGBTQ+ community, and neurodiverse learners. Within this work, Helen has continued to maintain an awareness of intersectionality and how it impacts people’s experiences. She brings her tried and tested blend of research, empathy, and laughter to her classes.
