Based in the exciting and vibrant city of Brighton & Hove, we’re only moments from seaside fun and with a host of interesting Jewish history surrounding us, we offer the perfect venue for a truly memorable Shabbaton experience.

With comfortable accommodation, spacious rooms for hosting workshops, a stunning new Modern Orthodox synagogue for services and kosher catering for a delicious Friday night dinner and Shabbat lunch – we have everything you’ll need for an inspiring weekend, all in one centre. With comfortable accommodation available on-site, we’re situated in the heart of Hove and only a stroll away from the beach.

We have an onsite team of experienced educators who can support you with all of your programming needs, whether you are looking for shiurim, learning and team-building experiences or just want some help creating memorable fun and games.

Accomodation Packages

We have a range of accommodation options available for your group, including shared five-bedroom houses and ensuite two-bedroom apartments. Please note the below prices do not include VAT. 

Mews House 10

This is a five-bedroom Mews house with a garden, accommodating up to 18 children and 4 supervising adults.

The layout:

Ground floor: Kitchen (with options for a Shabbat kettle and hot plates); a living room with a comfortable lounge area, television, games consoles, table football table and an outdoor table tennis table as well as a range of Shabbat-friendly board games.

1st floor: Two bedrooms and shared bathroom (Bedroom 1: Up to 6 beds, Bedroom 2: Up to 4 beds)

2nd floor: Two ensuite bedrooms (Bedroom 1: Up to 4 beds, Bedroom 2: Up to 4 beds)

3rd floor: One bedroom and bathroom (Up to 4 beds)

Price: £35 per person, per night (excl. VAT) for a minimum of 15 occupants.

Mews House 11

This is a five-bedroom Mews house with a garden, accommodating up to 18 children and 4 supervising adults.

The layout:

Ground floor: Kitchen (with options for a Shabbat kettle and hot plates); a living room with two sofas and a large table with seating for around 20 people, an outdoor table tennis table as well as a range of Shabbat-friendly board games.

1st floor: Two bedrooms and shared bathroom (Bedroom 1: Up to 6 beds, Bedroom 2: Up to 4 beds)

2nd floor: Two ensuite bedrooms (Bedroom 1: Up to 4 beds, Bedroom 2: Up to 4 beds)

3rd floor: One bedroom and bathroom (Up to 4 beds)

Price: £35 per person, per night (excl. VAT) for a minimum of 15 occupants.

Apartments

These are two-bedroom, two-bathroom apartments with balconies. Only one of these bedrooms is an ensuite. Each bedroom has the option for a double bed of a twin bed layout.

The living room also has a sofabed that converts to a double bed. We may only have a limited number of these apartments available for your chosen dates.

Price: £50 per person, per night for a minimum of 2 people for 2 nights, (excl. VAT). For other arrangements, the price will depend on the time of year and the size of the surrounding booking.

What can I expect on arrival?

On arrival, please head straight to security at the main entrance and you will be met by a member of our team to welcome you in. 

What is the check in & check out procedure?

Checkout on teh day of departure is 11am. 

What’s the latest time I can arrive on the day?

The latest you can arrive on the day of your check-in is 11pm, before security leave the site. If you require a later check-in or checkout, this must be organised beforehand.

On Fridays, all check-ins must be completed an hour before Shabbat begins. 

Is there parking available on-site?

We have a limited number of parking spaces available for facilitators, who will have access to an underground car parking space. This must be organised with us before your arrival.

Our security will be notified of your arrival time and will be expecting you. Please head straight to security at the main entrance to receive your keys and access fobs. You will then be led to  park in the underground car park. From here you will take the lifts to Elm Tree Court or Olive Tree Court up to the ground floor and head to the front of the centre.

What can be found in the apartments?

The apartments are set up to keep you comfortable during your stay. There will be fresh linen and towels for all guests. 

The kitchen has an oven and stove, fridge and dishwasher and all the glassware, plates and cutlery for up to 6 people. BNJC is open to everyone, so if you are concerned about Kashrut we suggest ordering or bringing disposable items for your peace of mind. 

What can be found in the Mews Houses?

The houses are set up to keep you comfortable during your stay. There is linen and towels for all guests. 

The kitchen has an oven and stove, fridge and dishwasher. BNJC is open to everyone, so if you are concerned about Kashrut we suggest ordering or bringing disposable items for your peace of mind. 

Do I need to bring my own linen & towels?

We provide one set of linens and towels for each guest. If you require extra, please let us know. 

How do I get to the beach from BNJC?

You are almost at the beach already! By heading out of the site onto the street, you can turn left or right and then head down one of the perpendicular streets down to the seafront, and it should only take around 5 minutes. 

What do you recommend we do in Brighton during our stay?

Exploring the City:

  1. The Royal Pavilion: Start your journey with a visit to the Royal Pavilion, an extravagant palace with Indo-Saracenic architecture. The surrounding gardens are perfect for a leisurely stroll.
  2. Brighton Pier: Dive into the classic British seaside experience on Brighton Pier. Enjoy arcade games, traditional fish and chips, and thrilling rides overlooking the English Channel.
  3. The Lanes: Lose yourself in the narrow, winding streets of The Lanes. Here, you’ll find a mix of antique shops, independent boutiques, and charming cafes. It’s a great place for unique souvenirs.
  4. Brighton Beach: Soak up the sun on Brighton Beach. Take a stroll along the famous pebble shore, explore the beachside shops, or grab a deck chair and enjoy the sea breeze.
  5. Art and Culture: Brighton has a thriving arts scene. Visit the Brighton Museum & Art Gallery or catch a performance at the Brighton Dome. Don’t forget to explore the vibrant street art scene, especially in the North Laine area.

Day Trips: Consider taking a day trip to the nearby Seven Sisters Cliffs for breathtaking coastal views. Alternatively, explore the historic town of Lewes or venture into the South Downs National Park for hiking and nature.
