Job Opportunity: Programming Events Executive

BNJC is building a forward-thinking Jewish community within the vibrant seaside city of Brighton & Hove, East Sussex. Based at 29-31 New Church Road, Hove, BNJC will comprise residential, educational, cultural, religious, social and co-working facilities. We want our events programme to reflect our ambition and appeal to the Jewish community and beyond. When we open in 2022 we hope to run a range of events from fitness classes to conferences, comedy to professional talks and workshops. Working remotely in 2021 we have started to build our programme including an informal monthly book-club, film screenings and panel discussions.
We’re looking for an ambitious Programming Events Executive with strong digital skills, who can programme and deliver a vibrant calendar of events for a broad range of audiences. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to make a real difference to our cultural offer.
The successful applicant will be experienced in producing an events programme and will be expected to deliver events as well as coming up with our future programme. Initially, we will be hosting two to three events per month building towards a daily on-site live and virtual events programme reflecting a broad spectrum of interests and appealing to a range of audiences. The successful candidate will need to program to reach all ages, backgrounds and interests through programming speaker events, movies, clubs, classes and social meetups. We’re looking for someone with strong digital skills, imagination and creativity, dedication, and who is a strategic thinker and a hands-on implementer.

As we predict that most of our events programme will remain virtual until we open our doors next Spring, this role will initially be remote but will then move to a largely on-site position in 2022.
