About Shoresh Nursery

Shoresh Nursery is a Jewish independent day nursery for 0–5-year-olds. We can accommodate up to 32 children across the nursery and The Nest, our exclusive micro baby and toddler provision. With a child-centred approach to education, Shoresh aims to inspire and motivate our children to be independent learners. The EYFS curriculum is integrated with teaching Jewish values, practices and customs as well as celebrating Jewish festivals and Hebrew reading and writing.

We offer full day care, all year round in a nurturing and stimulating environment.

About the role

We are seeking a warm, proactive, experienced Baby Room Leader to lead The Nest and join our dedicated team. The successful candidate will either have a Level 3 or above childcare qualification and at least two years of experience working in an early year setting. You will manage the day to day running of the baby room, lead staff and set high quality standards. Create a calm environment that promotes secure attachments. You will act as a Key Person, nurturing children's development and wellbeing while fostering strong relationships with families.

The Baby Room Leader will have a good understanding of the EYFS curriculum and support the planning and delivery of high-quality educational activities that promote child development.

You will need to be thoughtful and proactive, committed to ensuring the provision of high-quality education and care for children, fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment. You’ll need to be patient, helpful and enthusiastic in your approach to work and dedicated to building strong relationships across Shoresh and the wider BNJC team.

This role is ideal for an educator passionate about play-based learning, cultural education, and child-led approaches. While a background in Jewish early years education and Hebrew language skills is desirable, they are not required.
