A Big Honey Bakeoff

There is something about a kitchen full of people that just works. Flour everywhere, someone burning the first batch, kids licking the spoon. This Rosh Hashanah we are turning that into a community morning with a purpose.

Join us to bake honey cake together for the new year. Every cake you help make gets packaged up and delivered to Helping Hands, so the sweetness goes straight out into the community. All ages, all abilities, no baking experience needed. If you can stir, you are in.

While the cakes are in the oven there is a play corner for the little ones with Rosh Hashanah books and objects, and a card making table so kids can decorate the packages that go out with the cakes. You make something sweet, someone else has a sweeter new year. That is the whole idea.

Free to come, but please grab a ticket so we know how much flour to buy. Tickets close Wednesday 2 September.
