Make a chanukiah that is entirely yours. Over two evenings, a professional ceramics teacher will guide you from a slab of clay to a finished piece, ready to light this Chanukah. Keep it for your own table or give it as a gift. Clay has a mind of its own, so expect a few surprises and, with luck, a miracle or two.

Evening one: build

Shape your chanukiah with slab building and sculpting, and settle on a design that is truly personal to you.

Evening two: carve and decorate

Refine your piece and decorate it using the sgraffito technique, oxides and underglazes.

After that we take care of the rest. Your chanukiah is fired, glazed and fired again, then waits for you at BNJC, ready to collect in time for Chanukah.
