For local organisations
Host your event at BNJC
A talk, a class, a fundraiser or a celebration: if your organisation is local and has something worth gathering people for, the Hub would like to hear about it.
Who it is for
Local organisations with a good idea and a reason to bring people together.
- Local charities and community groups
- Faith and cultural organisations
- Schools and youth groups
- Small businesses and professional networks
Not sure yours fits? Send the idea anyway, and the team will say.

What the Hub offers
Everything is on one site on New Church Road, so the room, the food and the welcome can all be arranged in one conversation.
Rooms and spaces
The restaurant and the event spaces at the Hub can be hired. You can add round or long tables, an urn, a screen and sound, decorations and cleaning.
Kosher catering from Yofi
Yofi is the Hub’s kosher restaurant, under the KLBD licence. Tell the team the date, how many people and what you are marking, and a menu is put together with you.
Step-free access
There is step-free access by lift to every level of the Hub, and accessible toilets on every floor.
Security on site
A team is on site day and night. Visitors ring at the gate and the security team lets them in, every time and for everyone.
Easy to find
29-31 New Church Road, Hove BN3 4AD: about a 20-minute walk from Hove station, with buses from central Brighton stopping outside and cycle racks at the entrance. In general there is no on-site parking for visitors; pay and display is on the nearby streets.
A place on What’s On
An event that is open to the community can be listed on What’s On, the Hub’s calendar, if it suits.
How it works
- Tell the team about your idea. Say who you are, what you have in mind and roughly when. A few lines is plenty.
- Have a short call or a visit. Talk it through, or come and see the space.
- Agree the date and the details. The room, the timing and anything you would like to add, such as food.
- Your event goes on What’s On, if it suits. An event that is open to the community can be listed for everyone to find.
Sending the form is an enquiry, not a booking. Nothing is agreed until you and the team say so.
Events that suit the Hub
- Talks and panels
- Classes and workshops
- Fundraisers
- Networking evenings
- Celebrations and community days
- Something different: say what it is
Questions
Can we bring our own food?
The Hub is a kosher site, so food for an event needs to be kosher. The simplest way is kosher catering from Yofi, which is under the KLBD licence. If you would like to bring food in, say so on the form and the team will explain what is possible.
Is it free to host an event?
Rates for a room are shared when you enquire, once the team knows what you have in mind. Sending the form costs nothing and does not commit you to anything.
Who can host an event?
Local charities and community groups, faith and cultural organisations, schools and youth groups, and small businesses and professional networks. If you are not sure that yours fits, send the idea anyway and the team will say.
What happens after I send the form?
Expect a reply within two working days, usually to suggest a short call or a visit. Nothing is booked until you and the team have agreed the date and the details.
Will my event be listed on What’s On?
If it is open to the community and it suits, yes. That is agreed with the team, along with the date. See what’s on now.
