A Perfect Sunday in Brighton

In Brighton, we know how to do Sundays right. Whether you’re an adrenaline junkie, a museum buff, a shopaholic, or all of the above, we’ve got you covered.

Planning a Sunday trip to Brighton & Hove? Here are our team’s best ideas of how to spend your Brighton Sunday – there really is something for everyone.

A Hop-on Hop-off Bus Tour
The easiest way to get a feel for the city in one day is to get a ticket for one of our open-top sightseeing buses. You’ll get to see all the main landmarks, from the Royal Pavilion to Volks Railway, with the opportunity to hop off and explore by yourself. The tour also includes an entertaining audio guide to tell you about some of the city’s most interesting facts. The ticket can also be used for unlimited travel on all Brighton & Hove buses. *Operational until 29th October*

Brighton Palace Pier
Simply a must for anyone visiting Brighton, offering activities for the whole family. There are beautiful views of the whole city from the sea, but most importantly there are plenty of games! You can enjoy classic arcade games, rides for younger and older children, mini golf, and a variety of bars and cafes where you can grab a snack. Be sure to try some seaside fish and chips and pick up a stick of Brighton Rock of course.

A Cup of Tea at Bird & Blend
This little tea shop has an incredible range of the most delicious teas – trust us, even those who aren’t big tea drinkers will find something here. They have two stores in Brighton, one on the seafront and one in The Lanes. We highly recommend that you try out Chocolate Digestives, a velvety black tea that really does taste like a chocolate digestive!

Shopping in The Lanes
The famous Brighton lanes are a collection of cobbled, narrow alleyways crammed full of restaurants, cafes and shops. You can really find anything that you might be interested in here, from vintage thrift shops to art supplies to records or musical instruments. A historical area, The Lanes were once the centre and hub of Brighthelmstone, the little fishing village that eventually became Brighton.

Cycle on the Seafront
Between its gorgeous scenery and its abundance of bike lanes, Brighton is the perfect city for cycling. BTN BikeShare allows you to unlock one of their many bikes right from your phone and return it to a different location whenever you are ready. Their app also shows you all the cycle lanes in Brighton to help you plan a perfect route. You can explore Brighton as Brightonians do, enjoying the scenic views as you ride along the seafront all the way to the stunning undercliffs. You can read more about BTN BikeShare here.

We look forward to welcoming you to our beautiful city and hope you enjoy all the excitement it offers.
