Laughter Yoga

11 March @ 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm

£5.00

Laughter yoga is a unique concept created by Indian medical Doctor Madan Kataria in 1995. It allows everyone to laugh, smile, and giggle for no reason, without relying on jokes, humour, or comedy. This practice is excellent for our general wellbeing, particularly our emotional and mental health.

We initiate laughter yoga in a group setting, encouraging eye contact and childlike playfulness. Quickly, it transforms into genuine, contagious laughter. The name “laughter yoga” reflects its combination of easy, fun laughter exercises, breathing techniques, and simple stretches suitable for everyone, whether seated or standing.

Laughter yoga is grounded in the scientific fact that the body cannot differentiate between real and fake laughter, leading to the release of feel-good hormones such as dopamine, serotonin, and oxytocin.

We recommend wearing loose clothing, bringing water, and approaching the session with curiosity.
